However, this doesn’t change the fact that these message boards still provide an unprecedented level of freedom for those wishing to express themselves personally without fear of stigma or surveillance-- making them highly attractive features amid a surveillance culture driven by authoritarian governments . Despite these potential drawbacks associated with anonymous message boards – many view chan boards as an important platform for exchanging ideas while avoiding oppressive structures surrounding conventional discourse. By offering total secrecy in digital communications channels; users have access to unprecedented details shared by strangers online who don’t need qualifications nor prove their identity before they engage in meaningful conversations which otherwise may not occur due to biasness rooted by comfortable social structures present today .
